At M Center Acupuncture and Wellness, we believe that the transitions of life—from the joy of a new union to the sacred finality of the end-of-life journey—deserve the same clinical excellence and dedicated “tuning” as any performance.

Led by Dr. Mary Elizabeth Micari, DAc, LAc, Rev., our transition services integrate medical-grade comfort care with spiritual advocacy. As a Certified Death Doula (IAP College) and an Ordained Minister registered with the NYC Clerk’s Office, Dr. Mary Elizabeth provides a grounded, expert presence to support individuals and families through the “Great Transition.”

Transitional Support Modalities

We offer specialized, non-medical support designed to provide comfort, peace, and dignity during the final chapters of life. These services can be provided in-home, in hospitals, or in hospice environments.

  • Transitional Acupuncture & Aromatherapy: Utilizing gentle, hair-thin needles and therapeutic-grade essential oils to manage restlessness, ease breathing, and promote a state of profound physical calm.
  • Vibrational Support (Sound & Music Healing): Using the power of frequency, tuning forks, and vocal resonance to harmonize the environment and soothe the nervous system.
  • Comfort Care (Medical Massage & Reiki): Gentle Tui Na and Reiki Energy Infusion to alleviate physical tension and provide a sense of energetic “holding” for the individual and their loved ones.
  • Vigil Services: Dr. Mary Elizabeth is available to hold a sacred vigil, providing a constant, grounded presence and ritual support during the final hours of transition.

Ministerial Services & Rites of Passage

As a legally recognized officiant in the City of New York, Dr. Mary Elizabeth is available for a variety of sacred ceremonies:

  • Weddings & Commitment Ceremonies: Professional officiating for all couples, specializing in interfaith, theatrical, and metaphysical rituals.
  • Celebrations of Life & Memorials: Crafting personalized services that honor the unique “performance” of a life well-lived.
  • Space Clearings & Blessings: Rituals to clear stagnant energy from homes or creative spaces during times of major life change.

Because every transition is deeply personal, these services are not “off-the-shelf.” They require a customized approach tailored to the specific needs of the individual and their family.
